Qualified as an Architect and Interior Designer provides me with a unique skill set, allowing me to approach design holistically creating functional yet beautiful spaces. 

I provide a spectrum of services, ranging from optimising your current spaces to exploring extensions, including permitted build options. I also handle full planning applications and building regulation submissions. 

I focus on future proofing designs which will evolve with your ever changing lifestyle. Ultimately creating a masterplan for your home, allowing projects to be phased over the years (if needed). 

Additionally, I like to stay updated on the latest trends, technologies and sustainable practices in architecture and interior design.

  • We are absolutely delighted we instructed Kate and the work she completed for us. Kate listened to our idea, our requirements, looked at how we lived in the house, how & where we worked around the house. She presented us with 2 concepts, the first concept was what we asked for and then an alternative which maximised space, maximised light and made the housework harder and better for our needs. We were blown away. Kate was so easy to work with, professional and personable. The quality of her work was exceptional. She researched her ideas to ensure what she was proposing wasn’t unrealistic and going to blow our build budget.

  • I approached Brackendene Studio in May 2023 for some advice and guidance on a side-extension for a ‘granny flat’ at my house in Appleton. Kate came round to discuss our requirements and was extremely courteous, professional, and perceptive to the particular needs of my family. Kate made some excellent suggestions that increased the functionality of the limited available space. The drawings she produced were sympathetic to the existing build, yet innovative in design. As a lay person, I know nothing about architects’ drawings, but of the three builders I consulted, all remarked on the quality of the plans. Once the work started, my builder encountered a problem that required some amendments to the original plans, Kate obliged promptly and at minimum cost. I am happy to recommend Brackendene Studio as a reliable and professional architectural and design studio.
